Welcome!
My name is Garrette DeBord (he/him). I am a licensed psychotherapist and psychoanalyst in formation located in the state of Tennessee. I have worked in outpatient mental health and in inpatient substance use treatment environments since 2012. Over my years in the mental health/addiction field I have developed a passion for helping others in the LGBTQ+ community who struggle with issues of trauma, addiction, and developing identity.
As a gay man who grew up in the rural south, I understand the intense fear and anxiety that can build up inside. My personal experiences as a trauma survivor to my personal/spiritual beliefs inform my views that all people are deserving of respect and dignity allowing them to live more fully and authentically.
